The reality became clear at the end of Babes In Toyland
The Economics of the 2024 NYC no longer fit our producing formula
VHRP LIVE! was able to afford Babes In Toyland
However, we did not have the cash to move forward.
It was at that point that our Artistic Director chose fiscal responsibility
over running full tilt into debt.
VHRP LIVE! is sorry to announce the Suspension of the remainder of 10th Season at
The Theater at St. Jeans,
150 E 76th Street and Lexington Ave., NYC
Just east of Lexington Avenue, the first staircase down.
Accessible elevator entrance on Lexington between 76th and 75th Streets.
Proof of vaccination is no longer required for entrance and
masks are recommended but optional for all audience members.
VHRP LIVE opened our Tenth Season with the wonderful Babes In Toyland. This extravaganza is the single most often performed work composed by Victor Herbert. The libretto has as many versions as it has performances each year, averaging at least 10-12 scheduled performances across the country each year. VHRP LIVE! again welcomed the New Victor Herbert Orchestra in the St Jeans orchestra pit. Roughly 300 audience members enjoyed three performances of this most famous of Herbert’s theatrical creations.
